VIVO for Healthier Generations Expansion

Estimated Completion Date: 2022
The current project program will expand the existing facility by approximately 50% and includes more aquatic and fitness centre facilities, new or renovated change areas, more specialized areas and highly innovative, research-based spaces such an indoor park and courtyard to be used as spontaneous, community or programmed space.
UVIC Student Residences
Location: Victoria, BC
General Contractor: EllisDon-Kinetic
Mechanical Consultant: Integral Group
Estimated Completion Date: Early 2023
The two new student housing and dining buildings will be located outside of Ring Road south of the Student Union Building. They are replacing the Cadboro Commons Building as well as Margaret Newton and Emily Carr residences. The buildings will offer traditional dorm rooms, and new “community-living” style rooms with a shared kitchen and living area. Following UVic’s Indigenous Plan, the buildings will include an Indigenous student lounge and design elements that embrace and reflect Indigenous history and culture, as well as group and classroom space.
H S Grenda Middle School
Location: Lake Country, BC

Estimated Completion Date: Fall 2021
This project includes the construction of a new middle school with 600 new spaces for students in grades 6 to 8. It will be built on district-owned property south of George Elliot Secondary school and will include a neighbourhood learning centre for the community. The interior will include lots of natural light, and open and collaborative learning spaces to support B.C.’s new curriculum.
Block BG Podium
Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Estimated Completion Date: 2022
Construction of a three-storey commercial retail podium in Edmonton’s ICE District. A parkade was previously built underground on the site. Long-term plans include a condo tower on the north end of the podium.
